New Funding Opportunity "FY 2016 Project Beacon: Increasing Services for Urban American Indian
Synopsis: Under the statutory authority of 22 U.S.C. § 7105(b)(2), the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) will make up to three grant awards to increase the quantity and quality of services currently available to American Indian and Alaska Native victims of sex trafficking who reside in urban areas.1 Award recipients will use the funding to increase their capacity to address the needs of American Indian and Alaska Native victims of sex trafficking through a combination of staff training and education on the topic, building strategic collaborative partnerships with other community-based organizations and agencies, and public awareness activities.
