Why are Indigenous women and girls missing and murdered at a significant rate?
What factors lead to disproportionate numbers of Indigenous women being murdered and going missing?

The month of February, Expert Q&A featured Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. If you missed the session, you can view it here, Video Player (ovcttac.gov) along with the materials here, February 2022 Expert Q&A (ovcttac.gov).

Expert Q&A is a national forum designed to help victim service providers communicate with national experts and colleagues about best practices for assisting victims of crime. Each month, a new topic will be presented online, and one or more subject matter experts will be available to answer your questions on this issue. You can view current and past sessions online as well as submit your questions.
