About the Workshop:
This workshop will be for providers to learn the signs of sex trafficking and how to utilize resources in New Mexico. We will also discuss what sex trafficking looks like in tribal communities and illustrate the difficulties of escaping and/or exiting sex trafficking. We will be hearing from providers and learn more about best practices to support trafficking survivors.
Objectives:
· Providers will know what sex trafficking can look like in tribal and urban communities.
· Providers will obtain resources for sex trafficking survivors.
· Engage in workshops with providers to determine how you can recognize ways to support survivors of sex trafficking.
Intended Audience:
Direct service providers and advocates on New Mexico tribal lands and those working with victims and survivors of sex trafficking, and their dependent children.
Evaluation and Certificate of Attendance:
A link to access our evaluation form will be provided to you during and at the end of the workshop. After submitting the evaluation, a digital copy of the certificate of completion will be emailed.
